Anishinaabe cultural worker and Flicker Exchange co-founder Hadassah Greensky will be leading a botanical walk through Arboretum Detroit, beginning in Circle Forest on Thursday 9/24 at 6 PM. We will identify the native and invasive plants growing throughout the Arboretum complex and contextualize them in the ecological history of the area, covering their culinary and medicinal uses.

We will conclude with a discussion on the importance of the Land Back movement; its importance in contemporary Native organizing in Detroit/ Waawiyaatanong, and pathways towards deeper allyship for both non-Anishinaabe and non-Native allies.
